Five accidents reported on I-635

Five accidents were reported around 3 p.m. Sunday on I-635 in Wyandotte County, according to KC Scout.

The accidents were at I-635 near Parallel, between Parallel and State, at Kansas Avenue, at Swartz Road and near Shawnee Drive, according to KC Scout reports.

An accident also was reported at I-70 and Mill Street.

It was still snowing at 3 p.m. Sunday in Wyandotte County.

Police advised motorists to stay off the roads unless it was urgent.

More accidents reported on I-635

At 1 p.m. Sunday, KC Scout was reporting four accidents on I-635 between State Avenue and I-70, and one accident on I-635 between Metropolitan and Shawnee Drive.

Heavy snow was falling in Wyandotte County around 1 p.m.

Police are advising residents to stay off the roads unless it is urgent.

The Kansas City, Kansas, Public Library has announced that all library locations are closed Sunday.

The National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame, where Santa’s Express is being held, has announced it will be closing early today, at 2 p.m. Sunday, because of inclement weather.
