Roller-coaster weather week hits top temperature today

Temperatures could rise to the top of this week’s weather roller-coaster today, hitting 71, according to the National Weather Service.

Today’s forecast also includes a danger from high winds, according to the weather service.

Outdoor burning should be avoided with dry conditions outdoors, low humidity, and south winds from 11 to 18 mph, gusting as high as 26 mph. Fast-moving grass fires are possible, the weather service said.

Tonight’s low will be around 38 degrees, the weather service said.

Thursday, the high will be near 45, and there will be a north northwest wind of 11 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph, the weather service said. Thursday night, the low will be around 24.

Friday, the high will be near 40, with a wind of 5 mph, becoming light and variable, according to the weather service. Friday night, the low will be around 30.

Saturday, rain and snow are likely, with a high near 41, the weather service said. There is a 60 percent chance of precipitation. Saturday night, snow is likely, with a low of 29.

Sunday, there is a 40 percent chance of snow with a high of 32, according to the weather service. Sunday night, the low will be around 10.

Monday, the forecast is mostly sunny with a high near 24, according to the weather service.
