Schools closed on Monday

The Kansas City, Kansas, Public Schools will be closed on Monday, Dec. 16, because of the snow.

The Unified Government announced on social media that crews will plow and treat the streets overnight. There is more snow in the forecast on Monday, about 1.5 to 2 inches more is predicted.

All Kansas City Kansas Community College locations will be closed on Monday, Dec. 16, because of the winter weather, according to an announcement on social media.

Ride KC bus service will be delayed on Monday, Dec. 16, according to an announcement. Bus service will begin at 7 a.m. There may be additional changes, such as a limited number of trips on some routes. Paratransit transportation will begin after 7 a.m., and will be in Phase C of the inclement weather plan, with delays of 60 minutes expected.
