Warm spring Monday followed by showers on Tuesday

Temperatures may reach a high of 82 today — the first day of spring — followed by a chance of showers on Tuesday as a cold front moves in, according to the National Weather Service .

Although there may be rain and storms, no severe weather is expected in the early part of the week.
There is a chance of more storms Thursday through Friday for the entire forecast area, and storms on Friday have the potential to be severe, the weather service said.

Tonight, there is a 20 percent chance of showers and storms between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m., the weather service said. The low will be around 50.

Tuesday, temperatures drop about 30 degrees. There is a 20 percent chance of showers after 7 a.m., with a high near 58.

Tuesday night, the low will be about 36, with wind gusts as high as 21 mph, according to the weather service.

Wednesday, it will be mostly cloudy with a high of 53, the weather service said, and an east wind around 11 mph.

Wednesday night, expect a 50 percent chance of showers after 1 a.m., with a low of 42, according to the weather service.

Thursday, the chance of rain is 50 percent, with a high near 65, the weather service said.

Thursday night, the low will be about 56 with mostly cloudy skies, according to the weather service.

Friday, there is a 60 percent chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 1 p.m., then more showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m., according to the weather service. The high will be near 71.

Friday night, there is a 50 percent chance of showers, with a low of 44, according to the weather service.

Saturday, there is a 30 percent chance of showers, with a high of 58, the weather service said.

Saturday night, the low will be around 41, according to the weather service.

Sunday, the high will be near 61, the weather service said.
