Eleven Kansas City, Kansas, students have been named to the dean’s honor roll for the fall semester at Wichita State University. Students on the dean’s honor roll were enrolled at least 12 credit hours and earned at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. The university in Wichita, Kansas, has about 15,000 students, offering more than 60 undergraduate degree programs in more than 150 areas of study in six undergraduate colleges. The case is in Johnson County, according to state officials. The possible case was identified today with testing sent to KDHE’s Kansas Health and Environmental Laboratories (KHEL). Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City has announced it will cover COVID-19 testing and 24-7 access to virtual care for its members, according to a spokesman. According to a news release, Blue KC will cover the COVID-19 test with no cost share to the member. The COVID-19 diagnostic test will be covered consistent with CDC guidance related to COVID-19, with no cost share to the member, according to the announcement. In addition, Blue KC will eliminate prior authorizations for COVID-19 services.
