An accident was reported at 10:20 Sunday, Aug. 30, on westbound I-70 near 57th Street, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report. A Chevrolet Silverado and Mazda-6 were westbound on I-70 and were stopped in traffic in the construction zone, according to the report. A third vehicle, a Dodge Charger, approached the stopped traffic, tried to stop and was rear-ended by another vehicle, a Toyota Prius, the report stated.
