A job board is connecting employers and job seekers in the Rosedale area. Launched in December by the Rosedale Development Association, the online job board features mostly jobs available in Rosedale, according to Erin Stryka, RDA executive director. “We are finding out, first of all, that we have lots of Rosedale businesses that want to hire local folks and are really excited to be posting on a job board for Rosedalians, and for everybody,” she said. The Walk Kansas 2020 program, held March 15 through May 9, is encouraging residents to get out and walk. The low-cost, team-based program will focus on encouraging walking and making better nutrition choices. Participants are asked to register with the program. Offered through the Wyandotte County K-State Research and Extension office, the Walk Kansas 2020 health initiative will log minutes of activity by a team for eight weeks. Ismael Caballero First-degree murder charges were filed Jan. 1 against Ismael Caballero in the deaths of three persons in Kansas City, Kansas. Three persons were found dead in a fire around 5 a.m. on Monday morning, Dec. 30, at 29 N. Mill St., Kansas City, Kansas.
