Two students from Kansas City, Kansas, are working on the Gilbert and Sullivan production of “Pirates of Penzance” which opens tonight at Kansas State University, Manhattan. Anthony Bandy, a senior in music theater, is a light board operator for the production; and Donovan Watts, a junior in theater, is in the role of Police in the production. A sport utility vehicle overturned in a crash on Jan. 1, shortly after the new year began, on eastbound I-70 near the 18th Street Expressway in Kansas City, Kansas. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, a Nissan Armada was eastbound when a black sedan cut it off about 12:35 a.m. Jan 1. The Wildcats sprang to an early lead, taking a 10-point advantage midway through the first quarter. The Wildcats found plenty of success driving the lane for layups.
