Winds, large hail and isolated tornadoes are possible in some areas from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Most severe weather will be south of Route 50, which is south of the Wyandotte County area. Car spins out, hits wall and is struck on I-70 An injury-accident was reported on westbound I-70 near I-435 in Wyandotte County at 6:52 a.m. Tuesday, April 30. Rainstorms moved through the area in the morning, and continued in the afternoon. According to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, a Chevrolet Impala was westbound on I-70 when it began to spin and then struck the wall. A Buick Park Avenue then struck the Impala, according to the trooper’s report.
