A new schedule for the pavement and resurfacing project on K-5 from I-635 to Sunshine Road in Kansas City, Kan., has been announced. The project now will begin on Monday, Aug. 11, instead of on Aug. 7, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation. Project work will take place on the ramps at I-635 and 18th Street, K-5 and 18th Street, and K-5 and 10th Street. Project work includes pavement patching on K-5 mainline lanes and patching, milling and asphalt overlay on ramps. Lane and ramp closures are scheduled beginning Wednesday, July 2, at I-635 and State Avenue in Kansas City, Kan. The Kansas Department of Transportation has scheduled the closures during the day Wednesday.
