Lane and ramp closures are scheduled beginning Wednesday, July 2, at I-635 and State Avenue in Kansas City, Kan. The Kansas Department of Transportation has scheduled the closures during the day Wednesday. Northbound and southbound I-635 over State Avenue bridges will be reduced to one open lane between 9 a.m. and noon on Wednesday, then northbound and southbound I-635 over State Avenue bridges will be reduced to two open lanes both directions from noon to 3 p.m. also on Wednesday. Today at noon is the filing deadline for the 2014 election. Those who are running for precinct committee positions may file in the Wyandotte County Election Commission Office, while those who are filing for state and national offices will file in Topeka at the secretary of state’s office. One piece of the puzzle is already in place in the form of a Presenting Sponsor. AT&T has committed $13,000 to the Endowment Association’s scholarship fund, and will be recognized as the Presenting Sponsor at the 4.0 Gala on Saturday, Oct. 25, at Lake Quivira.
