The Kansas City, Kan., Women’s Chamber of Commerce will meet Jan. 11 at the West Wyandotte Library, 1737 N. 82nd St., Kansas City, Kan.
Networking will begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by the meeting and lunch at noon. The board and officers for 2017 will be installed.
The guest speaker will be Jerry Jones, executive director of the Community Health Council of Wyandotte County, who will provide an overview of their Health Equity Action Transformation (H.E.A.T.) project. The council recently released a study in partnership with the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity at Ohio State University, looking at health in Wyandotte County.

Temperatures will fall today, according to the National Weather Service. The cooler temperatures will stay through the weekend.
Morning wind chill values will be between 5 below and 5 above through Saturday, the weather service said. Light snow is likely in the region from late Wednesday night into Thursday morning, according to the weather service.
Light accumulations of around an inch of snow are possible, the weather service said.

A house fire was reported near Sloan Avenue and 49th Drive in the early morning hours of Jan. 2, according to fire officials.
