The $1 million winning Holiday Millionaire Raffle ticket, which was sold in the northeast region of Kansas, was drawn today in the 11th annual Holiday Millionaire Raffle Grand Prize drawing. The $1 million winning ticket number is 024666.
In addition to the $1 million top prize, today’s raffle drawing also produced one winner of $100,000, three winners of $50,000, five winners of $25,000, 15 winners of $5,000, 25 winners of $1,000, 800 winners of $100 and 6,000 winners of $50.

All other prizes must be claimed at the Kansas Lottery in Topeka, either in person or by mail. Players have 365 days from the date of the raffle drawing to claim their winning tickets.

The Kansas City, Kansas, Board of Public Utilities will install three recently elected board members on Wednesday, Jan. 8, at a meeting at the BPU’s administration building, 540 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kansas.
Three board members who were elected in November will take the oath of office at a 6 p.m. ceremony prior to the regular board meeting, according to a spokesman.
Two incumbents, Robert Milan Sr., 1st District; and Jeff Bryant, 3rd District; as well as newly elected board member Rose Mulvany Henry, at large, position 3, will be sworn in.
According to the spokesman, there will not be a visitors’ comment section at the Jan. 8 board meeting.

Above normal temperatures are expected today, with a high near 54, according to the National Weather Service.
The temperature here was 45 degrees at 8 a.m., according to the weather service.
A surface low is on track to move through southeast Missouri tonight, allowing a cold front to move through parts of the Kansas City region this afternoon, resulting in cooler and drier air, the weather service said. The Kansas City area is expected to be dry tonight and Friday morning.
While precipitation chances are not great enough to show up in the forecast, there is a slight chance there might be light rain in this area late tonight into Friday morning, however, with some snow mixing in, according to the weather service. No accumulations are anticipated. Any chance for precipitation will move out by Friday afternoon.
On Friday and Saturday, high temperatures will be limited to the low 40s and upper 30s, the weather service said. Saturday should stay dry, and by Saturday night, surface winds will shift to the southwest.
Despite a weak and quick-moving cold front pushing through Sunday morning, temperatures are expected to return to the 40s and 50s on Sunday afternoon, according to the weather service. Temperatures should be above normal next week.
