Toby Sullivan, 2017 business administration major from Bonner Springs was named to the Culver-Stockton College Dean’s List for work done during the spring 2016 semester.
To be named to the Dean’s List, Culver-Stockton College requires students to meet high academic standards. Dean’s List students have earned between a 3.5 and 3.99 GPA and were enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours, with no grade lower than a C.
Culver-Stockton College, located in Canton, Mo., is a four-year residential institution in affiliation with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
A Suzuki motorcycle struck a deer in the roadway about 1:40 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, on eastbound I-70, east of K-7, according to the Kansas Turnpike Authority trooper’s report.
A 27-year-old man from Blue Springs, Mo., was injured and taken to a hospital, according to the report.
Fairfax project updates will be the topic of the June 9 luncheon of the Fairfax Industrial Association.
The meeting will be from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. at CertainTeed, 103 Funston Road, Kansas City, Kan. CertainTeed is the sponsor of the meeting. The cost of the luncheon is $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers.
Three speakers will include Matthew Daulton, Missouri Department of Transportation, on the U.S. 69 Bridge project; Debbie Tanking, Kansas Department of Transportation, on the Lewis and Clark Viaduct project; and Stephen Dailey, Fairfax Drainage District, a Fairfax levee update.
