Kansas City, Kansas, police are searching for suspects in the theft of two food trucks and a trailered smoker in early morning hours Sunday at 100 S. James St.
According to police, there are four unknown suspects in the case. Police have released surveillance photos of the theft.
Police announced today that two food trucks were found near 700 Woodswether Road in Kansas City, Missouri. They still are looking for the smoker, the generator and the identification of the suspects and their vehicle.
The vehicle the suspects arrived in appears to be a white Ford flatbed utility truck with an overhead light on top of the cab and “STE” mud flaps, according to police.
Police are seeking any assistance in locating the stolen items and identifying the individuals and the vehicle they arrived in, a spokesman stated.
The incident is under investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division, which is asking anyone with information to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.

While today’s forecast is sunny and 85, Tuesday has a slight chance of severe weather in the afternoon and evening, according to the National Weather Service.
Frequent lightning, large hail and strong wind gusts are possible on Tuesday, the weather service said.
Isolated strong wind gusts up to 40 mph to 60 mph, in addition to isolated hail up to 1 inch in diameter, is possible Tuesday afternoon and evening, according to the weather service.
Many points along the Missouri River are in flood stage.
A flood warning continues for the Missouri River at Parkville, where the gauge is on I-435 over the Missouri River between Wyandotte County and Platte County. The river is in minor flood stage at this point, according to the weather service. The river was at 25.99 feet on Monday morning, where flood stage is at 25 feet. The river is expected to continue rising at this point to near 27.5 feet by Tuesday morning, then fall below flood stage on Thursday afternoon, according to the weather service.
Residents are advised to turn around and not try to drive through water on the roads.

Tonight, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 72 and a south wind of 8 to 11 mph, according to the weather service.

Sporting Kansas City capped an unsatisfying home schedule with an unsatisfying result, playing Portland to a 2-2 draw Sunday evening at Children’s Mercy Park.
Against the lofty expectations of previous years when Kansas City has enjoyed a daunting home field advantage, in 2019 they posted only seven home wins, against six losses and four draws.
On Sunday night, the visitors scored first, in the 29th minute. Portland forward Sebastian Blanco curled the ball past goalkeeper Tim Melia off a rebounding block from Ilie Sanchez, who started the match at center back instead of his usual midfield post.
Krisztian Nemeth leveled the score almost immediately, heading in a cross from Johnny Russell for his eighth MLS goal of the year, but only the first since May 18th against Vancouver.
In the 36th minute, each squad was reduced by one when KC midfielder Roger Espinoza and Portland forward Brian Fernandez were both sent off after a combative exchange.
Immediately after the half, Daniel Salloi created one of the bright spots of the game. Salloi posted his first goal of the season, and gave his team a 2-1 lead, by cleaning up the rebound of a Gianluca Busio shot off the goalpost. Salloi was Sporting’s leading scorer a year ago, but has been frustrated by poor shooting and poor luck through the season.
In the 84th minute, Ilie brought down Portland forward Jeremy Ebobisse in the penalty area. The foul earned Ilie a red card, and earned Portland a penalty kick, which was knocked in by Dairon Asprilla. Melia had saved all three previous penalties he faced this year, but dove to his right as Asprilla’s shot sailed the other direction.
Down a man, Kansas City held on defensively through the end of the match, but was unable to mount an effective attack after Ilie’s ejection.
Sporting Kansas City has one more match in the 2019 season, next Sunday at 3 p.m. at FC Dallas.
