PiperFest continues Sunday
PiperFest, a community festival, will continue Sunday, Sept. 29, at Piper High School, 4400 N. 107th St., Kansas City, Kansas. A previously announced schedule for PiperFest has been changed because of the rain and storms. The car show will be on Sunday. The annual event will raise funds for the Piper Public School District 203, according to Sean Ziolo, who is volunteering with the festival’s car show. Highlights of the event will include a pancake breakfast, auction, car show, carnival, bingo, concessions and food trucks. Renaissance Festival continues

Church plans Fiesta Latina Sunday afternoon
St. Mary-St. Anthony Catholic Church, 615 N. 7th St., downtown Kansas City, Kansas, will celebrate Fiesta Latina on the church grounds from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29, and will begin with a special Spanish Mass at 11:30 a.m. Fiesta Latina is about preserving the Latino culture and living out faith. Festivities include home made traditional Mexican food: tacos, tamales, menudo and pastries. Enjoy Folkloric dancers, traditional Mariachi Mexican music, children and adult games. All money raised supports Catholic education for children at St. Mary-St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Gospel Choir Concert planned Sunday

Church plans fundraiser
Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church, 9301 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, Kansas, will have a fundraiser for the Oak Ridge Youth Development School from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, at the Johnson County Arts and Heritage Center, 8788 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, Kansas. Tickets are $15 per person. The event will feature poetry, music, spoken word and dance. There will be light refreshments. Home finale on Sunday for Sporting KC
